Today kicks off 2008’s marathon shopping season. We won’t be braving any crowds (I have a healthy respect for mobs and a well-cultivated sense of self-preservation), and suspect that most of you will be enjoying shopping from the safety of your homes as well. Since we believe caution should be rewarded, we’ll be staging a series of sales, freebies, bonuses and promotional gimmicks starting today and lasting through Monday.
