Inspired by the pervasive floral breezes of Maui, Datura is an intoxicating blend of crisp, regal gardenia, verdant tuberose, and soft, beguiling pikaki lani

Very floral and tropical - this is so florally that I think it kickstarted my hayfever!! What's not to love? I have no idea what scents I can pick out of this as out of the list of ingredients I've only ever smelled tuberose and I can slightly pick the tuberose scent out but the other florals intermingle with it. It's very girly, I think I like it, though it does make me sneeze Dude!

Just in case anyone is wondering how I'm flying through my stash - I'm slicing chunks off so I can try more scents faster (as i'm mucho impatient!)

Very pretty and girly. Smells like beautiful floral's blowing in the wind on a luxurious Island. It's a soft scent and lasts on my skin for hours after I have used it. It's also a conditioning Smooch. Leaves the skin silky smooth. Will be buying more and the next order will have a whipped to go with it. Now, for my master plan!

I got this as a sample with my very first Villainess order, and after my first use, I immediately bought a full-sized bar. My next order will include the Smooch!, and I will be the first to cast my vote for a Whipped! This stuff is amazing.

Datura is a delightfully playful yet elegant scent; unmistakably floral, but not overwhelmingly so. Sometimes I smell the gardenia more strongly - a heavier, muskier scent, and moments later I catch a whiff of tropical sweetness - something crisp yet warm. It never smells exactly the same way twice, which is one of the reasons that I adore it so. The lather is smooth and silky, the dual coloration of the soap is beautiful, the fragrance is divine...there really is nothing not to love. It's absolutely perfect. What's not to love?

It was a big surprise to me how much I loved it. When I first smelled it still in the jar I though "Hm, well, ok..nice." Then I used it, got the full flower fragrance power and wow, I didn't want to leave my cabin! And now there is a Whipped too...*sigh*. The perfect summer scent, espacially when I am in a girlie kind of mood. Hey cutie! and when I am in the need of a pick-me-up for an early shift....

like likeoldtea, i also received a sample of this with my very first villainess order. Smiling Politely

it must be noted that i am a big fan of glittery things, so naturally i loved all of the shimmery-ness on the soap, in the envelope and on my hands. it washes away, of course, but it was a good first impression, aesthetically speaking! (it also helps that every time i see it, i get tori amos' song of the same name stuck in my head! Kisses! )

once in the shower; ohmy. i absolutely adore gardenia, and this soap did not let me down. the gardenia is what i get the most, luckily, but it could just be that i am not familiar enough with the other florals to pick them out. either way, it is a very warm, sweet & elegant floral scent, and i thoroughly enjoyed it. i can't say yet whether or not i will purchase it for myself, but i am definitely leaving it on my wishlist!

ETA [10.3.08]: Turns out I DID fall in love enough to order a bar for myself ALONG with the Whipped!, and I am. just. in heaven. Ohmygod, I put some of this stuff on right out of the shower tonight, and anyone walking into my bathroom afterwards would have had a religious experience. Simply amazing.

Will definitely be buying again!

I am a 'newbie' when it comes to Villianess products & this was the first soap I tried.

It's v. moisturing on my skin...but the smell nearly knocked me sideways. Oops. I love the floral scent...but it seems quite 'heavy' to my nose. Maybe it's too strong a scent for summer?

I can see this being a lot nicer in winter tho. Will have to try again when the weather cools down.
